Environment Friendly or green housing is the buzz word today with developers vying with each other not to appear unethical in the eyes of environmentalists. Sustainable developments use far less natural resources and energy due to its structural makeup, is more durable and require less maintenance.

 

  1. The 3C Company has created benchmarks in the concept of green construction and pledged to reduce carbon footprints while developing its projects. Some of these include Lotus Boulevard, Lotus Panache and Lotus 300 in Noida.
  2. Tata Housing has received a gold certificate in the residential space for its several projects like Raisina Residency, Gurgaon.
  3. Unitech is another renowned name in green housing. Its Espace promises independent villas with meditation gardens, spa club, yoga atrium and a steam room.
  4. Alpha G: Corp has to its credit many environment friendly projects like Gurgaon One  which offers water management as well as waste management. It has energy efficient windows, building materials and climate control systems.

  5. Parsvnath Developers’ projects have facilities of water harvesting too and enjoys exhaustive green covers nearly upto 84% for most of its projects. The designs of homes are space efficient and have natural lightening and ventilation apart from permanent exteriors.
  6. Asset Home in Kerala has launched several projects with homes having modern waste management systems, rain water storage, water recycling sysems, herbal garden, green space and three lane jogging track.

  10. An early adopter of the green building movement in India, ITC has developed Green Centre – Gurgaon which is considered a benchmark for green buildings.
